27th March is the Earth Day يـــوم الأرض

April 27, 2010

The 20th of March every year is a remmebrance of the earth day while on March 21, 1971 united nation Secretary-General made Earth Day an international celebration. The United Nations Earth Day ceremony continues each year on the vernal equinox (March 20th or 21st), with the ringing of the UN Peace Bell at the very moment of the equinox.
In 1990, the first official International Earth Day was celebrated. About 200 million people from 141 nations took part in a celebration of environmental conservation. In many countries, the global event reminded presidents and other national leaders how important protecting Earth is to people. This day is a Summit to Save the Planet and many leaders took part in the first united nation gathering was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992. At that summit, global problems such as Global Warming and the worldwide loss of indiginous cultures and wild species were take the core of the discussion. Rethinking to Reduce and Reuse or Recycle Understanding how long something takes to decompose in a garbage dump or landfill can help motivate all of us to reuse and recycle everything we can. The best thing any of us can do for the environment is to rethink the way we use things and to use less. The fewer resources and products we use, the less stuff there is to throw away and recycle. It became compulsory to rethink and recycle. If we think properly about the benifit of recycling we will gain many. I think this is the time for chemical engineers to find their way in R&D.
I recieved email from someone showing in the document a collection of earth pictures and u can download it if u think benifit to you but while you are going through please remmber our precious planet…/ God Bless You all /
