 يبدو ان الآثار النفسية والاجتماعية لتعرض الجمهور البحريني لشبكة الإنترنت هو احدى المخاوف في المستقبل ذو المنظور البعيد والمتوسط والقصيرحيث ان  تكنولوجيا الإنترنت قد انتشرت بشكل غريب في المجتمع البحريني، واستخدامها بين الفئات مقارنةً بالمجتمعات العربية، والعالمية، لذا بات التعرف على آثارها النفسية والاجتماعية، والإشارة للخصائص الديموغرافية للشريحة العامه في المجتمع. إن الانترنت هي قفزة هائلة توازي في أهميتها اختراع الطباعة او الهاتف في قدرتها على وصل الافراد والمجموعات ببعضهم البعض على مستوى العالم أجمع وبحق فإن العالم أصبح قرية صغيرة ( اضغط للملف)
